Current Openings

Lake Center Christian school is hiring a long-term substitute State Auxiliary Clerk.

Position will be 10 hours a week to begin training, then increasing to 20-25 hours over the next 6-12 months.

Objective: Assist the administrative team in maintaining state and federal budgets including: State Auxiliary Services, Federal IDEA, and Federal Title II-A.

Employed by: Lake Center Christian School

Qualifications:

  1. Supportive of LCCS mission and vision.  
  2. Understanding of business/educational accounting principles. 
  3. Possess effective communication and organizational skills
  4. Mathematical and computer/technology skills including data entry.

Reports to:  Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Evaluation:  Annually or Bi-annually as determined by supervisor

Position Type:  Hourly rate and benefits determined by Lake Center.  Annual hours worked determined by Lake Center as part of the Auxiliary Budget.

Performance Expectations:

  1. Prepare Auxiliary Budget annually, maintain an accurate current account of all expended and encumbered auxiliary service funds for the school; monitor monthly account balances.
  2. Monitor/review budget with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction & Director of Educational Technology regularly.
  3. Communicate with the Business Office as needed, including verifying monthly budget reports, entering and approving pay batches for weekly check runs.
  4. Prepare IDEA Budget annually with the Director of Special Services, and communicate with Lake Local’s Treasurer’s Office regarding balance and purchases.
  5. Prepare Federal Title II-A Budget annually with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, & communicate with Lake Local’s Treasurer’s Office regarding balance and purchases.
  6. Prepare requisitions and purchase orders (including approval of requisitions), order items and subscriptions, and close out orders as required.
  7. Process any required forms related to Auxiliary services.
  8. Work with the Director of Educational Technology to order technology equipment.
  9. Receive materials, verify packing slips, label or tag, inventory, and distribute items purchased with Auxiliary Funds and Federal IDEA Funds as required.
  10. Manage, inventory, and repair/replace textbooks as needed, including collecting for lost/damaged books.
  11. Manage classroom inventories and textbook loan forms.
  12. Manage textbooks distributed for home loans.
  13. Order and manage standardized testing materials and scoring services.
  14. Manage office supply closet for Team Teacher employees at LCCS.
  15. Become familiar with Lake Center Christian School policies and procedures.
  16. Dress in a manner that reflects positively on Christ and LCCS.
  17. Be punctual and dependable.
  18. Respond in a godly and professional manner to assignments, other personnel, and the LCCS constituency.
  19. Seek opportunities to improve skills and grow professionally; attend all required meetings and in-services.
  20. Other duties as assigned, relating to purchases and services within the Auxiliary and Federal budgets.

Lake Center Christian school is hiring a long-term substitute Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity leave beginning January 8, 2024.

Objective: To provide a Christian learning experience to all students with whom they work by observing best practices, by treating each student as a unique creation with special gifts from God, and by working with peers, administration, and parents.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Performance Expectations (Essential duties):

The teacher assistant shall:

  1. Enforce administrative policies and rules regarding students.
  2. Provide support to both teachers and students in the classroom environment.
  3. Assist children individually or in small groups 
  4. Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeteria, and recess. 
  5. Observe students’ progress and record relevant data to assess growth.
  6. Provide academic and behavior support assistance to students. 
  7. Duplicate and file materials.
  8. Participate in professional meetings and in various workshops as requested.
  9. Prayerfully minister to the spiritual welfare of the students.
  10. Follow procedures and policies in the Employee Handbook.
  11. Follow all confidentiality laws and requirements. 
  12. Participate in assigned committee work, staff meetings, extra-curricular activities and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks
  • Checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

Duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager may include:
  • monitoring students during lunch periods to assure safety and adherence to cafeteria rules
  • assistance with food preparation
  • dishwashing
  • food service preparation, including table setup, tray prep, silverware, condiments, etc
  • emptying garbage
  • assisting in maintaining a clean work environment
  • assistance in serving lunch
  • other duties determined by the Food Service Manager

The hours are 8:00am – 2:00pm Monday-Friday on days school is in session. This position requires current fingerprinting to be on file and an aide permit that can be obtained from ODE upon hire.

Job Details:

  • Transport children and other passengers to and from field trip and athletic destinations
  • Obey all traffic laws
  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
  • Ensure the safety of all students
