Lake Center Christian School has openings for a Substitute Coordinator for the 2022-23 school year.

General objective: The Substitute Coordinator is responsible to assure that Lake Center is fully staffed each day by finding substitutes or filling in as a substitute. This position is an hourly position and will include some work from home.

Qualifications:

  1. A clear testimony of salvation with an agreement to all LCCS lifestyle and contract requirements.

Performance Expectations:

  1. Assure that all substitute teachers meet requirements as set forth by LCCS.
  2. Maintain a list of available substitute teachers and staff members
  3. Communicate to the central office what personnel are absent and who is substituting for that person.
  4. Organize a system for teachers/staff to communicate their absence.
  5. Fill in as the “first” substitute for any positions.
  6. Train substitutes in the use of school software programs.
  7. Review with substitutes specific responsibilities.
  8. When available, help with extra duties including but not limited to grading entrance testing, organizing testing materials, typing reports, etc.

  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue

Lake Center Christian School is seeking a part-time Public Relations & Alumni Coordinator  for the 2022-2023 school year.

Objective: This position will lead all associated activities to develop professional external networks to increase admissions inquiries and cultivate meaningful relationships with alumni to strengthen their support of Lake Center’s mission.

Responsibilities:

Public Relations

  1. Engage various stakeholders through in-person meetings, emails, phone calls, print and digital platforms to support the school’s mission.
  2. Work with the Advancement and Admission directors to develop & implement long- and short-term marketing strategies to increase market share recognition of Lake Center’s mission and referral partners to support grade-level recruitment of new students through private tours, shadow days and events.
  3. Develop ideas into strategic campaigns to engage target audiences.
  4. Analyze responsiveness data to campaigns and provide regular reporting metrics to the Director of Advancement to evaluate strategy effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement of marketing campaigns and events.
  5. Coordinate and oversee cross-functional teams of writing, creative, photography, video and production to ensure admission and alumni collateral, promotional and website sections are up-to-date and aligned with mission, vision, core values and branding.
  6. Create a master calendar for shadow day visits. Coordinate prospective student hosts, communications with administrators and faculty, and serve as school representative for check-in, mid-day follow-up and check-out process. Implement post follow-up engagement strategies of the enrollment process.
  7. Be knowledgeable of counties represented through enrollment records and represent the school at Chamber of Commerces networking events within service counties to increase awareness about Lake Center’s mission.
  8. Build brand awareness as Event Lead for annual community events – Howard R. Miller Memorial Golf Outing (May). Manage all aspects of these events, including organizing, marketing, tickets sales, set-up and implementation to nurture and cultivate prospective parents, donors, volunteers, and prayer partners. Complete post-event wrap-up summaries. 
  9. Support Admissions Director with parent/student tours during peak seasons.

Alumni Engagement

    1. Build and maintain an active Alumni database and communicate quarterly through newsletters and social media platforms.
    2. Increase Alumni engagement at LCCS academic, ministry, athletics and events to foster mutually beneficial relationships between the school, faculty, students and other alumni to develop mission ambassadors for the school’s ministry.
    3. Increase Alumni giving and involvement in the school’s advancement goals for capital campaign projects.
    4. Establish goals to measure Alumni engagement year-over-year and children’s admission at LCCS.
    5. Develop and implement transitional end-of-year activity for seniors to be introduced to the LCCS alumni program and become aware of its benefits.
    6. Build partnerships with alumni for student career/work readiness speakers bureau, workshops, chapel speakers, job shadow and internship host sites.
    7. Content writer for alumni testimonials, blogs and stories to capture impact of core values and LCCS education on their careers, family and service to Christ for LCCS publications, social posts and website.
    8. Attend (and assist as needed) at senior high events, senior class portrait sessions, senior banquets, senior parade, Spiritual Emphasis Week, Mini Terms, last day of school transition and graduation to build rapport with future alumni and their parents. 

Qualifications:

  • A clear testimony of the saving grace and power of the Lord Jesus Christ and willingness to serve as a positive role model to the school’s stakeholders.
  • Enjoys contributing to and supporting a collaborative team work environment within education and business environments to advance the mission of LCCS.
  • Independent, dependable, flexible worker with strong communication and writing skills Proficient and transferable computer, photography and graphic design skills. Preferably a good working knowledge of Adobe Office Products, spreadsheets, Constant Contact, Canva design program and Google Workspace to design, edit and coordinate camera ready art through shared drives and with vendors.
  • At least three years of proven ability to work effectively with volunteer committees and outside vendors to develop and implement small- and large-scale events to reach campus-wide milestones within approved budgets. 
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or other degree with comparable work experience in project management, admissions or alumni relations.

Lake Center Christian School is seeking a part-time Assistant to the Director of Educational Technology for the 2022-2023 school year.

Objective: Provide support to the director by handling technology hardware and software tasks that support the overall technology infrastructure of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides end-user technical support for the School’s student information system (SIS), learning management system (LMS), and other systems as needed
  • Serve as point of escalation and resolution to the School’s managed services providers in troubleshooting and ensuring that technical support services through the contracted managed services provider are completed in a timely manner and at the highest level of quality
  • Oversees recordkeeping of fixed assets and inventory of school hardware/software, including tracking lifecycle and notifying the Director of Educational Technology of needed replacements 
  • Assists the Director of Educational Technology with maintenance of the technology budget and assist in the preparation of the associated operating and project budgets; forecast additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; obtain vendor quotes for expenditures
  • Assists the Director of Educational Technology in planning, organizing and supporting the overall activities of information and communication systems, including systems analysis, networks and design as related to the School’s instructional goals, business operations, student data management and instructional technology
  • Assumes responsibility for and participates in staff development (professional growth) and training to keep materials, supplies, and skills up-to-date
  • Maintains and advances professional skills through personal development (attend conferences, workshops, etc.) while remaining abreast of emerging technologies
