Objective: To support the smooth operation of a K-12 school by ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Utilize skills in building maintenance, custodial services, and problem-solving to enhance the daily school experience, minimize disruptions, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in line with school policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks
  • Checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

Objective:  The Lunch Monitor is responsible for supervising students during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, orderly, and respectful environment. The role includes maintaining discipline, monitoring student behavior, and promoting a positive atmosphere that aligns with the school’s Christian values.

Qualifications:

  4. Clear FBI/BCI background check.
  5. Ability to obtain a Student Monitor permit with the Ohio Department of Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Monitor students during lunch periods, ensuring safety, appropriate behavior, and adherence to school rules.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address minor disputes or conflicts between students in a fair and constructive manner, encouraging Christian principles of kindness, respect, and forgiveness.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure that students use the cafeteria and lunch areas safely, including proper disposal of trash and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
  • Health Protocols: Monitor students for proper hygiene, including handwashing and adherence to any health guidelines (e.g., allergies, dietary restrictions, etc.).
  • Communication: Report any behavioral issues, safety concerns, or injuries to the appropriate school staff.
  • Assistance: Help younger students open food items or navigate the lunch process as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Act quickly and appropriately in emergency situations, following school protocols.
  • Role Model: Serve as a Christian role model to students, encouraging positive behavior and spiritual growth.

Lake Center Christian School is seeking a Secondary Intervention Specialist for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. This position is an exempt contract position.

 

Qualifications

  • Personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and active involvement in an evangelical Christian congregation
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution
  • State of Ohio certification or eligibility for licensure as an Intervention Specialist
  • Ability to obtain an ACSI certification during the first year of employment
  • Solid biblical knowledge and ability to integrate biblical truths into teaching
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and assessment skills for a co-teaching environment
  • Commitment to Lake Center Christian School’s educational philosophy and Statement of Faith

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective intervention strategies for students with learning needs
  • Maintain accurate student records and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and educational teams to support student development
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Coordinate and complete Jon Peterson Scholarship Program documentation

Job Details:

  • Transport children and other passengers to and from field trip and athletic destinations
  • Obey all traffic laws
  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
  • Ensure the safety of all students
  • Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
  • Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
  • Attend safety meetings as required
