Preschool

Parents are a child’s first teachers.
The goal of Lake Center Christian’s preschool program is to work in partnership with parents in nurturing and training their children.

Learn, Play & Make Friends

We endeavor to provide a nurturing Preschool learning environment where children may learn in a developmentally appropriate settings. We believe in a Biblical worldview and each student is seen through the lens of the God-given timetable for his/her development.

We offer flexibility:

  • Half-day and extended-day options are available for 3, 4, or 5 days
  • Daily and weekly communication with parents is provided as well as a monthly newsletter
  • Parents have access to teachers through email and conferences as needed
  • Our classroom has two state-licensed teachers

We believe that developmental readiness is important

Our preschool is based on the principle that children learn best when they can explore their interests through play.

  • We use learning centers to provide child-directed, hands-on learning
  • Our classroom's prepared environment fosters the development of the whole child: physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
  • Learning is project-based: project work provides a way to incorporate all of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards and other educational goals in a way that interests and engages the child
  • Students must be 4 on or before August 1 to be considered for placement
