We believe that all students are uniquely gifted by The Creator. We also understand that some students need additional challenges in order to enrich their learning experiences. GATE (Gifted And Talented Education) is the name given to the enrichment program at LCCS. The program meets the needs of students in grades 3-12 who have been identified as cognitively gifted or gifted in a specific academic area by the state of Ohio.

Gifted services vary by grade level, but include:

• Gifted Intervention Specialist consultation
• Differentiation in the regular classroom
• Combination of inclusion and small-group enrichment in upper-elementary grades
• Subject Acceleration 
• College Credit Plus, Advanced Placement, Portage Lakes Career Center
