"The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength": LCCS 39th Annual Auction
A Night of Giving, Celebration, and JOY to Support Christ-Centered Education

By Emily Chesnic, Campus Communications and Volunteer Coordinator
Join us for a joyful evening of fellowship and purposeful giving at Lake Center Christian School’s 39th Annual Auction on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Inspired by Nehemiah 8:10—“The Joy of the Lord is your strength”—this event celebrates God’s faithfulness and provides an opportunity to invest in Christ-centered education. Gather with our school community to give generously, worship, and support students as they grow in faith and knowledge.
A Celebration of Faith and Community
Since its founding in 1947 with 181 students, Lake Center Christian School, now a K-12 campus on Kaufman Avenue, has grown to serve 950 students from over 500 families across five counties. Representing 34 public school districts and 150 churches, LCCS partners with churches and families to provide a Christ-centered education that fosters faith, character, and academic excellence. By integrating spiritual growth, scholarship, and service, the school equips students to lead with integrity and live boldly for Christ.
“After prayerful reflection, the word ‘Joy’ kept coming to mind as I considered this year’s auction theme,” shared Auction Coordinator Mrs. Laura Kell. “Since the start of the school year, a contagious joy has filled our school—among students, faculty, and staff. It’s been an uplifting time, and Nehemiah 8:10 perfectly captures this season.”
She said the story of Nehemiah, who rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls and led the people back to God, demonstrates the power of Scripture to restore and strengthen His people. In Nehemiah 8, the reading and understanding of God’s Word brought spiritual renewal and joy, uniting the community in a shared commitment to Him.
“As we support Lake Center Christian School, let’s do so with hearts full of joy and gratitude,” Mrs. Kell encouraged. “This Auction celebrates God’s faithfulness and provides resources that equip students to grow in faith, knowledge, and character. Together, we ensure Lake Center remains a place where joy in the Truth of God’s Word equips students for lifelong learning and Service to Christ.”

The generosity of those who participate directly impacts our ability to equip students with a Christ-centered education that prepares them for lives of service and leadership.”
