Yeager, Jack

Position: Senior High Bible Teacher
Tell us about yourself.
I am a recent Cedarville University graduate with a degree in Biblical Studies. I’m originally from North Olmsted, and now live in Akron. The majority of my free time is spent playing volleyball or with my wife, Carter.
What led you to Lake Center? How did God open the door here?
Since graduating college in 2022, I have been looking for an opportunity to teach the Bible to high school students. I spent some time working at Malone University as an admissions counselor, specifically with Christian high schools in the area, and I discovered Lake Center through high school visits.
What are you most looking forward to in this role?
I am super excited to help students see the big picture of Scripture. My favorite interaction with a student is when they connect the dots on things they already knew to see the bigger picture and realize why those things matter.
Share a favorite Bible verse or quote.
“To please God… to be a real ingredient in the divine happiness… to be loved by God, not merely pitied, but delighted in as an artist delights in his work or a father in a son—it seems impossible, a weight or burden of glory which our thoughts can hardly sustain. But so it is.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
What are your hobbies and interests?
My favorite hobby is playing volleyball. I also enjoy board games, disc golf, and hiking.
Tell us a little about your family.
My wife, Carter, just finished a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and is looking to work in pediatrics. We also have two cats, Cleo and Beebo. No kids yet, but we are planning on having a family.
Final thoughts or anything else to know about you?
Teaching high school Bible is my dream job, and I am very excited to join the LCCS family.
