Lake Center Christian School Senior High Answering the Call to Serve Others

The education provided by Lake Center inspires students to serve Christ, take initiative to improve the lives of others, think globally, and care for God’s creations.

The school believes that everyone, regardless of their age, can contribute to their community and world through service. To demonstrate this, students in grades 9-12 raised over $3,000 to provide nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurities. This act of generosity is inspired by Galatians 5:13, which teaches to humbly serve one another in love.

Partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission

On Thursday, Feb. 22, Lake Center Christian Senior High held a Service Project Day.

In January, Mrs. Crystal Maarschalk, the Secondary Principal, and Senior High Student Council organized a fundraiser through Lifeline Christian Mission, a non-profit organization that works to distribute food to those in need. The students’ objective was to raise $2,500, but the donations exceeded their target. With the funds, the students were able to package thousands of shelf-stable meal kits together to help individuals struggling with hunger and malnutrition in the United States and globally.
