“Why I Love my School” Essay Contest

Each year, Lake Center Christian School holds a student essay contest coinciding with National School Choice Week. The essay should answer the question: “why do I love my school?”

This contest is for students in K-12th grade and the ISP program.

Essay Length:

  • K-1st | one to three sentences
  • 2nd-3rd | a paragraph
  • 4-5th | up to three paragraphs
  • 6-12th | a page in length

  • Creative art entries (artwork, video, drama) on the theme can also be submitted.
  • Essay winners will be selected by grade levels.
  • Winners in the creative arts category will be chosen from all entries.
  • Prizes include LCCS swag, gift cards, and a “sweats day pass” for 7-12 graders.
  • Submission Deadline: January 28, by 3 pm, in The Advancement Department

  • National School Choice Week was founded in 2011 to promote forms of school choice. As an organization, it contends parents should make the educational choices in the best interest of their children.
