Volunteering at LCCS
1 Corinthians 3:9 (ESV) For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
Together, as a body of believers, we are co-laborers for God, Ambassadors for Christ, because He empowered us by faith. We are the fruit of His hands and a work in progress. He provides us with spiritual gifts and the strength to fulfill the work He prepared for us to do.
We believe volunteering is spiritually rewarding and an avenue for using our talents to further His Kingdom. We are eager to partner with volunteers who are excited to share their God-given gifts with Lake Center Christian School.
Our volunteer program is designed to encourage family participation within our school community. Volunteers at Lake Center Christian School get involved and work together with students, teachers, staff, and administration, bringing glory to God in the school’s daily and annual activities.
Volunteers are essential throughout the school year to support the mission and directly impact the lives of students and faculty and staff. Our volunteers truly are a precious commodity and preserve the wonderful facets that keep our school shining brightly.
Whether you are a seasoned family or brand new to the school, have a little time to give or a lot of time to give, there is a place for you to connect and serve here at Lake Center Christian School.
For the safety of the students, all volunteers are required to submit an application and undergo a background check ($20). If you would like to initiate the volunteer screening process, please submit an application. Once the application is approved the front office will be in touch with instructions for the background check. The entire process takes about two to three weeks. Campus Communications and Volunteer Coordinator Emily Chesnic oversees Lake Center’s volunteer program. If you have any specific questions regarding volunteering, please contact her at email@example.com.
Parents, grandparents, and alumni are part of our LCCS community, thus invited to fill out the application to serve as a volunteer at our school.
Our volunteers often work alongside our students, therefore must be cleared to serve. Safety is a top priority at Lake Center.
At the start of each school year, current and prospective volunteers are invited to a Volunteer Kick Off Meeting to learn more about our school’s volunteer experiences. We encourage you to pray about where the Lord is calling you to serve. During the school year, our volunteers will be provided additional information through email and our website regarding opportunities for volunteering, as they arise.
We are very grateful to have you in our volunteer program and appreciate the time you provide serving our school. No, we don’t ask you to accumulate a certain number of volunteer hours each school year to stay involved in the program.
Absolutely! We would love to have your help wherever you feel led to be of service. Lake Center’s volunteering experiences help build community, bless others, and helps you use your God-given talents at our school.
Support the Volunteer Program
Unable to volunteer this year, but still want to support LCCS’s volunteer efforts?
Parent Ambassador Program
Lake Center Christian School has a Parent Ambassador Program focused on welcoming and encouraging new families, thus strengthening community within our school and building up the Body of Christ.
Our Parent Ambassadors support Lake Center’s mission and have real life, positive experiences at our school. They desire to warmly, personally guide a new family along the way, helping them become acclimated with our school, especially by answering any questions that may arise. They check in periodically to see how the school year is going for your family, how they can pray for you, and invite you to school gatherings and events.
A new school family, upon enrollment, is assigned a Parent Ambassador who has children in attendance at LCCS and is involved in our volunteer program. The Parent Ambassador program places families with one another who have children close in age or in the same grade level, or who may have something else in common, which could include where they reside or the church they attend.
When a Parent Ambassador reaches out, we encourage you to take the time to get to know them. They have been in your shoes and appreciated having a Parent Ambassador as a resource as they embarked on this new journey. Our Parent Ambassadors enjoy meeting new families, engaging in meaningful conversation, and introducing you to others in our school family.
Our Parent Ambassadors are genuinely excited to have you at Lake Center Christian School and are praying your family has positive experiences at our school, too. They consider it a blessing to be your Parent Ambassador and want to help you have a smooth transition into our LCCS community.
