Art Work Purchased

Akron Children's Hospital purchased nine (9) pieces of art from Lake Center Christian School students to be included in the hospital’s permanent art collection in their new addition. The hospital’s original collection of more than 3200 artworks from local artists, community groups, and student artists, began with the Centennial addition in 1993. Now they are acquiring artwork as part of their continuing community-wide art collection.

The students’ art that was chosen to be purchased were created by Alexa Byler, Abigail Klein, Rebekah Yoder, Emma Stalter, Joey Shannon, Caitlin Bailey, Addyson Knoll, and Isabel Miller.  Each student created a unique piece of art.

Akron Children's Hospital is ranked among the best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The work will be professionally framed with a label and will be displayed with information concerning the artists and the artwork. All the artwork is inventoried when it is placed in the hospital or one of its facilities and the location recorded. Once installed, the public is welcome to visit the artwork any time.

Congratulations to these very talented students.  We are so proud of you for using your God-given talent.
