Spiritual Emphasis

Every school feeds children spiritually, whether they realize it or not. However, some spiritual food is void of nutrition and value. At LCCS, we welcome a "Master Chef" who offers living water and spiritual food, a diet guaranteed to satisfy the yearnings of the soul and appeal to the growing pains of youth. It is easy for spirituality to become stagnant ritual and habit, even as adults. LCCS strives to teach students that God is constantly at work in our lives, actively involved in our everyday thoughts, words, and deeds. It is our mission to show students that a Christ-centered life can be exciting and will be the most fulfilling commitment they will ever make.

When the disciples urge Jesus to eat something, Jesus tells them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." The bewildered disciples tell each other, "Surely no one has brought him something to eat?" Jesus clarifies what his "food" is, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work." That is the appetite imparted to the students here at Lake Center Christian Schools, an appetite satisfied by reading the Word and serving Him who spoke it.

Chapel Program

Chapel is an essential part of the entire program at Lake Center Christian School. Students experience corporate worship and Biblical teaching times and have opportunities to help lead worship and participate in teaching times. Chapel programs are held weekly for all grade levels and are considered part of the Bible curriculum. Special school-wide chapels are also incorporated into the overall chapel program in conjunction with Spiritual Emphasis Week and other annual events.

Spiritual Emphasis Week

Throughout the school year, additional growth opportunities are offered to students. Spiritual Emphasis Weeks are featured in the spring and the fall in order to unite the student body in a spirit of worship and common goal.

Junior High Christian Unity Day

Unity Day is an opportunity at the beginning of the school year for seventh and eighth grade students to bond with their teachers and peers away from the campus.

Java House

Junior High students are invited to Java House for fellowship and a time of worship every other week.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets on a bi-weekly basis.
