Post-Secondary Enrollment - (PSEOP)

The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) provides an opportunity for qualified students to enroll in a college or university while still in high school. These classes can be taken for high school and college credit. The program is available to students in grades 9-12 enrolled in public and non-public high school.  Students at LCCS must be full-time students, paying full tuition to be eligible for one of two options through PSEOP.

OPTION A allows the student to receive both high school and college credit. All costs associated with enrollment including, but not limited to, textbooks, materials, parking, tuition and fees are the responsibility of the student and family. This will not affect high school grade point average. Home-school students have this option only.

OPTION B allows students to receive both high school and college credit. Non-public students (like LCCS) are subsidized by a specific sum of money set aside by the Ohio General Assembly, and funding is limited. Required textbooks, non-consumable materials, and tuition and fees related to coursework are provided for both public and non-public students. Grades are reported to the high school and at the beginning of the school year, LCCS students have the choice of choosing a recorded grade of Pass/Fail or the actual PSEO course grade earned. When choosing the actual course grade, it will be calculated into the cumulative high school GPA. Pass/Fail does not affect the cumulative GPA.  Even if the student elects not receive a high school grade for the course, the grade will appear on their college transcript.

**Both Option A and Option B students are required to pay the admission application fee, ACT/SAT test fees, orientation fees and parking fees.

Non-Public High School Students

Students and parents must attend the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) information meeting, January 12th at 6:30pm at LCCS. If they are unable to attend, students and parents must meet with the Guidance Counselor in person at another time.

Students should apply to and be accepted to the post-secondary institution of their choice, and must take the ACT or SAT or check out the testing requirements of their post-secondary institution.

**All students must submit the Intent to Participate Form to high school administrators by March 30 to be eligible for enrollment in PSEOP for the following academic year.  A mandatory PSEOP parent meeting is scheduled for January of each school year.

Once accepted at the college, the non-public student must submit an application form (Form SF-PS-140NPP) signed and stamped by the college and LCCS to the Ohio Department of Education, Office of School Finance. The application window is open from May 15 to June 15. Students will be notified within three weeks of submitting the 140NPP form if funds are available or within one week if funds are not available. Students must then submit a copy of their funding approval letter from the ODE to the Office of Admissions at the college by a certain date.
