Senior Early Release Option

SENIOR EARLY RELEASE OPTION (9^th Period Option)

ALL OPTIONS ARE APPROVED ON A QUARTERLY BASIS ONLY

The Early Release Option is reserved for seniors only who meet the following criteria: 

Seniors must have a study hall scheduled 9^th period of each day.  A student must have earned 18 credits, passed all five sections of the OGT, earned a G.P.A. of 2.5 for the previous quarter, and be in good standing with regard to tardiness, absences and behavior. 

Any student code of conduct violation, or violation of the following, may result in the removal of the early release privilege and/or disciplinary action.  

• Students granted this option MAY NOT transport unauthorized students on or off campus while school is in session.  Authorized students are those whose schedule shows 9^th Period Option. All other students are considered unauthorized.

• A student must not have excessive absences/tardiness.

• A student with Early Release Option must sign out with the Lobby Receptionist and leave the building by 2:00 p.m. Any student who wishes to stay must inform the Lobby Receptionist that they are remaining on campus and then go to study hall until the end of the day.

• Students granted Early Release Option may not return to the building for transportation home by either the bus system or other students.
